Leadership Advice From The President of SundanceTV

Your imperfection can be your strength.
- Sarah Barnett

As President of the AMC Network, Sundance TV, Sarah Barnett knows a thing or two about leadership.

In a recent interview, Sarah shared her personal management lessons and culture-building tips:

  • Free yourself from perfection and create a culture where you can move past miscommunication.

  • Accept that conflict and failure is not only survivable, but it can build a more open environment.

  • You can't control what people project on you. It has little to do with you. Just move on.

  • If you’re busy trying to be a perfect leader, you’re not being a good leader.

  • When you first start out, be curious about what is to come. Be open to adventure.

Oh, by the way
