On the 87th anniversary of the tournament she won twice, Althea Gibson was honored with a special Google home page this week.Althea was the first African American athlete to enter international tennis. She was the also the first to win a Grand Slam title.She went on to win a total of FIVE Grand Slams. Like. A. Rock.
